How To Choose Your CBD Oil Concentration
With so many new CBD oil products in the market, we understand it may be confusing to determine which CBD oil strength may be right for you and for your needs. CBD oil comes in different potencies and you may need a different concentration depending on the relief you’re looking for. Choosing a CBD Oil strength can seem overwhelming, so we have put together a general guide to help with choosing the right CBD Oil potency for your case. However, it’s important to note that CBD products are not yet FDA approved and you should seek medical advice from your healthcare physician when making a decision about CBD oil therapy and dosage for your particular use.
CBD Oil Strengths & Concentrations
Most CBD Oil manufacturers supply their products in at least two different concentrations and range from 100mg to over 5,000mg for a standard 30ml bottle. Most often, new CBD oil users opt-in for a low concentration tincture to start with considering the cost compared to higher strength tinctures. As our bodies naturally start to develop tolerance to CBD, then higher concentrations can be used to maintain the desired pain relief effect. Our Epic CBD Oil Tinctures come in two strengths, 500MG and 1000MG and are both infused in MCT (refined coconut oil) for fast-acting relief and for easier dosing. Our strongest and highest concentration of CBD is provided by California CBD Company and features 5000MG infused in the same amount of MCT oil as the previous two Epic CBD Oil tinctures. The increased 10x concentration allows you to utilize much less and provides 200MG per dropper compared to 40MG of CBD per dropped provided by our 1000MG tincture, and 20MG of CBD per dropper of our 500MG tincture.
CBD Oil Dosage by Strength
If you’re new to CBD, it’s recommended that you start with our lowest 500MG concentration and the initial recommended dosage indicated in the bottle. For reference, doses typically range anywhere from 5 MG to over 100 MG in a day and our 500MG CBD Tincture contains 20MG of CBD per dropper. When trying CBD for the first time, it’s important to take note of the effect CBD has on your body and how you react to the minimum strength dose. Initially, you’re looking to determine how much CBD is required for your body to feel the effects desired. For example, when looking for pain relief benefits, starting with a lower concentration tincture allows you to gauge what dose provides the relief you’re seeking, rather than utilizing higher strength oil straight away when it may not be necessary for your situation. Everyone is different and the therapeutic effects will vary from person to person considering many factors including body weight and body chemistry. Therefore, gauging the effect of CBD on yourself is crucial before increasing the dose or opting in for a higher strength tincture. Doing so will reduce the likelihood of developing a tolerance for the active compound and will save you money by only taking the amount you need. Moreover, some individuals have a more active endocannabinoid system than others, so they will naturally not require as high of strength to achieve the same results.
CBD Oil tinctures in lower strengths can be beneficial as a single dose daily supplement aimed to help boost general health. This is a good place to start when you’re new to CBD Oil.
CBD Oils in mid-level concentrations can be helpful for people who find they’re having to take multiple doses of a lower potency CBD oil. In general, users utilize CBD tinctures in this strength range for moderate stress, anxiety relief and relief of day-to-day mild pain or inflammation/soreness. A single dose remains the same but contains more CBD per serving than lower potency oils.
CBD tinctures in higher concentration ranges are generally used for stronger pain relief, including deep muscle soreness, and migraines, as well as relief from day-to-day stress, anxiety or depression. People also utilize this strength to help manage sleep issues and achieve more restful sleep. Users experiencing chronic pain can also benefit from higher strength tinctures. Please keep in mind that CBD oils of 1000MG or higher are not recommended for first-time users.
